Access statement

Accessibility was a priority in the redesign of Step Up to Quality’s website. We have made every effort to reach Web Content Accessibility Guideline (WCAG) AA. WCAG creates standards that ensure that as many users with disabilities as possible are able to navigate websites with ease. We also prioritized realizing Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) with this investment in website accessibility.

Our accessibility process involved hiring a disability-led accessibility consulting firm to audit the contents and visual accessibility of the website. Additionally, we held usability testing feedback sessions with child care providers and parents, including users with disabilities. These feedback sessions the way we display the content on this site, including using image descriptions on every photo, among other features
